Television is an effective and popular way to market your business.  TV commercials usually come in 15 and 30 second formats.

There are two main costs that comprise a TV commercial.  The first is production and the second is advertising (purchasing on-air time).

Production

Production costs vary with an increase in complexity.  Variables include, labour (actors or extras), location (rental charges or permits), equipment (cranes or aerial shots) and graphics (3D or animation).  A basic 30 second commercial at AbetVideo Productions ranges from $4000-6000 (15 second commercials range from $3000-$4000).

Advertising

Television advertising is available for almost any budget. At AbetVideo Productions, we shop your local television markets to help package your production and advertising rates together.  We will also work with the television station of your choice to determine which demographic group will best suit your product and/or service in order to maximize your advertising dollars.  The general rates for advertising vary with each station, show and hour of broadcast (the major factor being time of day). “Prime Time” is the most expensive period and runs everyday from 6pm-11:30pm.
Here are some general rates for a 30 second commercial:

Monday - Friday (6am - 6pm) > $100-$200
Saturday - Sunday (6am - 6pm) > $60-$125
Prime Time - Everyday (6pm-11:30pm) > $200-$6000
Late Night - Everyday (11:30pm-6am) > $40-$125

Note: 15 seconds commercials are usually 33-35% cheaper.

WEB COMMERCIAL

Similar to a television commercial, a web commercial can effectively showcase your products or services at a fraction of the cost of standard television.  These can either be posted on a company website, or other web based advertising portals.

Web commercials (unlike television) has the potential to be seen 24 hours a day / 7 days week in any market in the world. As well, these do not have to be cleared by any government regulatory commission.

Web commercials start at $400.
